CAMPION
College Consultancy
Terms and Conditions
In purchasing the Program or Clinic services offered by CAMPION College Consultancy (hereafter referred to as CAMPION), the student applicant and parents agree to the following terms and conditions:
Nature of Services
-
All Program and Clinic services will be delivered in person by the Senior Advisor, Martin Campion.
-
All Program and Clinic appointments will normally take place at the Lee Garden One or Infinitus Plaza office and Program appointments are for the student only. Clinic appointments may also involve parents where appropriate and agreed. In certain circumstances, or by mutual agreement, appointments will be conducted online.
-
Program ‘hours’ begin on the hour and come to a conclusion at 55 minutes past the hour to allow for smooth transition to the next appointment. It is the student’s responsibility to be punctual and to be in the waiting/reception area of the Lee Garden One or Infinitus Plaza office at 5 minutes to the hour.
-
Students and Parents understand and accept that CAMPION will endeavour to provide the best and most appropriate guidance and advice to students in both Program and Clinic appointments but does not and cannot guarantee any specific outcomes in terms of college admission, scholarship application or otherwise.
-
Following Program Application and/or Family Consultation, CAMPION will present a Program Proposal and Invoice for the student to the parent (or guardian). By payment of the Program Deposit, the parent (or guardian) agrees to the proposed timings, price and payment terms.
-
Students and Parents agree not to reproduce, distribute or show to others, in whole or in part, any CAMPION guidance materials, printed or online without the prior consent of CAMPION College Consultancy.
Admission to Programs and Clinic Services
-
CAMPION reserves the right to turn down applications to both Program and Clinic Services where the Senior Advisor decides that it is inappropriate, inadvisable, beyond the scope of his expertise or cannot be scheduled. Students and Parents agree to any decision in this regard without condition.
Payment, Deposit and Cancellation
-
Payment for Program courses will be made up of a reservation deposit and further periodic payments. ‘Clinic’ charges will be one-time for each service.
-
The reservation deposit for Programs must be paid at least one week prior to the start of the Program by direct bank transfer to the CAMPION company account. If payment is not received by that date, CAMPION reserves the right to cancel the application and allot the appointment timeslot to another applicant.
-
Monthly Program payments should normally be set up by Standing Order. Any payments that are more than 30 days in arrears will result in a cancellation of Program services for that student. In such cases, no portion of the deposit will be refunded.
-
‘Clinic’ payments should normally be settled by bank transfer at least 24 hours in advance but, in certain cases, may be settled by HK$ cheque on the day.
-
Cancellation of an appointment by the student must be for good reason and be made at least 24 hours in advance. CAMPION will do its best to reschedule the appointment but cannot guarantee that a mutually agreed time can be arranged in the short term.
-
In the case of a cancelled Clinic appointment that cannot be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time, the fee paid will be refunded in full.
-
No refunds or rescheduling will be made for appointments not attended by the student without due notice (i.e. no shows).
-
In the case of Family Consultations or other appointments where payment has not been made in advance, cancellations without 24 hours' notice will incur a charge for the meeting room rental.
-
In the case of early withdrawal by a student from a Program, there will be no refund of payments made to date, including the deposit.
-
In the unusual case of a mutually agreed early termination of Program services, CAMPION will provide a pro-rata refund based on total cost of the Program. This will be exceptional, as it will be impossible for CAMPION to recover lost income part way through a Program.
-
In the event that CAMPION is unable, for any reason, to meet its appointment commitment to a student or students, it will do its best to reschedule appointments within a short period of time and, if that is not possible, will provide a pro-rata refund of the total Program fee or the Clinic Fee in full.
-
In the exceptional circumstance that CAMPION is unable to continue its operations at all, it will provide a pro-rata refund of the total Program fee or the Clinic fee in full to all students and parents affected.
Specialist Services
-
On occasion, CAMPION may recommend that the student receive specialist guidance from a third party (e.g. a subject specialist for a mock interview or art portfolio advice). There may or may not be an extra fee involved depending on the nature and length of that service. The student is under no obligation to accept this recommendation but understands that it will be made in his or her best interests. Parents will be fully informed of any such recommendation where it involves an extra cost or alternative location.
Group Courses and Workshops
-
CAMPION will run these group courses as advertised even where undersubscribed, but reserves the right to cancel with due notice if the small number makes the course untenable. In such cases, participants will be informed at least 24 hours in advance and will receive a full refund where payment has been made already. An alternative date may be suggested but participants are under no obligation to accept such an offer.
Adverse Weather Conditions
-
CAMPION will close its office on the raising of a No. 8 Typhoon Signal or a Black Rain Warning. Appointments affected will be rescheduled as far and as soon as it is possible.
-
CAMPION will reopen its office within 2 hours of the lowering of a No. 8 Typhoon Signal or a Black Rain Warning and will expect students to attend as normal.
-
Should a No. 8 Typhoon Signal or a Black Rain Warning be raised during an appointment or at a time when the student is already at the relevant offices, parents will be contacted and the student should stay in the building until conditions are considered safe to travel home.
Changes
-
CAMPION reserves the right to amend these conditions as may be necessary with adjustments in the services offered. In such cases, CAMPION will inform clients who are likely to be affected.
Governing Law
-
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the Laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China. All parties agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the Hong Kong Courts.
